Dulcinea® Tuscan-Style® Extra Sweet Cantaloupe Basil Honey Dip

Get a doubly-delightful dose of Dulcinea® Tuscan-Style® Extra Sweet Cantaloupe. It’s exotic flavor is harmoniously blended with basil, honey and crème fraiche into an intoxicating dip.

Ingredients

  • ½ of a Dulcinea® Tuscan-Style® Extra Sweet Cantaloupe, seeded
  • ½ of a Dulcinea® PureHeart® Mini Seedless Watermelon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh basil, very finely minced
  • 1 (7 ounce) container crème fraiche
  • Fried beet chips* or your favorite dipping chip

Directions

  1. Use melon baller to create Dulcinea® Tuscan-Style® Extra Sweet Cantaloupe balls and Dulcinea®
  2. PureHeart® Mini Seedless Watermelon balls
  3. Blend honey, basil and creme fraiche together until smooth
  4. Drizzle the top of mixture with honey
  5. Garnish with basil leaf (optional)
  6. Fried beet chips*

*Peel and very thinly slice fresh beets (using a mandolin is best for thin, even slices). Deep fry in very hot oil until crisp.
